Guides & reference

Full in-app documentation ships with the native terminal. This page covers the essentials — account setup, panel references, and common workflows.

ARGON is in closed beta. Features and UI details may change between waves.

Getting started

Create an account

Register at argon-development.com with your email address. During closed beta an invite code is required. Free accounts are created immediately — Flow subscriptions are activated via Stripe after payment.

Subscribe to Flow

Go to Pricing, choose Flow (€35/mo), and complete checkout via Stripe. Your tier is reflected in the download portal within seconds of successful payment.

Download the terminal

Download links appear on the portal when your beta wave opens. Native builds are released in waves to validate latency and stability before each group. You receive an email when your build is ready.

Supported platforms

Linux x86_64 and Windows x64 ship first. macOS is not in the current beta wave. Minimum requirements: 8 GB RAM, modern CPU with AVX2 support, and a dedicated GPU (optional but recommended for the heatmap renderer).

Order-flow panels

Liquidity heatmap

GPU-accelerated bid/ask depth aggregated across all connected venues. The heatmap renders resting liquidity as a heat gradient — brighter cells indicate larger resting orders. Scroll to zoom time, scroll + Shift to zoom price. Candle overlay is toggled from the heatmap toolbar.

Footprint chart

Per-candle bid × ask volume at each price level. Four view modes: Numbers Bars (Sierra Chart-style bid × ask cells), Split (bars + session profile), Side Profile (session ladder only), and Vol Profile (horizontal histogram per bar). POC rows are highlighted in amber. Toggle SVP to show the aggregated session volume profile on the left.

DOM ladder

Live order-book depth ladder with bid and ask sizes per price level. Colour intensity scales with order size relative to the visible range. Refreshes at sub-second intervals from the aggregated L2 feed.

Time & sales

Chronological trade tape showing price, size, direction, and timestamp. Large-print trades are highlighted based on a configurable size threshold. Filters for buy-side and sell-side aggression are available in the toolbar.

CVD / Price

Cumulative Volume Delta correlated with price — tracks whether net aggressive buying or selling is accumulating over the session. Divergence between price and CVD is a core order-flow signal.

Session volume profile (SVP)

Aggregated volume at every price level for the current session, displayed as a left-side strip on the chart, footprint, and vol profile panels. Toggle the SVP checkbox in any chart toolbar. Hover for per-level bid/ask breakdown. POC (point of control) is highlighted in amber; the 70% value area has a subtle background tint.

Candlestick chart

Timeframes and indicators

1m, 5m, 15m, and 1h candles. EMA 9 and EMA 21 (toggle via EMA checkbox). RSI 14 in a separate sub-panel. Session VWAP with configurable standard-deviation bands (0.5σ – 3σ). Anchored VWAP: hold Alt and click any bar to anchor; click again to clear.

Footprint overlay

When the footprint panel has live data, enabling Chart overlay in the footprint toolbar renders bid × ask numbers inside each candle on the chart panel — without requiring the footprint panel to be visible.

Navigation

Drag to scroll history. Scroll wheel to zoom bar width. Double-click to snap back to live. The Live button in the toolbar also resets scroll position.

Multi-venue and instruments

Supported venues

Binance, Coinbase Advanced Trade, Bybit, OKX, and Kraken connect via native WebSocket. Rithmic and Databento adapters are included for futures and equities (requires your own credentials). All venues feed the same aggregated order-flow panels.

Instruments

BTC-USDT, ETH-USDT, and SOL-USDT perpetual and spot pairs ship in the first beta wave. Additional pairs are added per release. The active symbol is changed from the top bar; all panels update simultaneously.

Connection management

Venue connections are configured in Settings → Connections. Each venue shows a live/degraded/disconnected indicator in the top bar. BYOK (bring your own key) API credentials are encrypted at rest in your account.

Paper trading

Simulated execution

The paper trading panel runs a 1,000 USDC simulated account using live mid-prices. Positions are opened and closed against the live feed. P&L, Sharpe ratio, and max drawdown are tracked per session.

Chart integration

Active positions render as dashed entry, SL, and TP lines directly on the footprint chart. SL and TP lines are draggable. Click the × button on the entry line to close a position at market.

Workspace and layout

Dock layout

Every panel is a dockable tab. Drag tabs to split panes horizontally or vertically. Layouts are saved per workspace preset (Order Flow, Depth, Macro). Use Workspaces in the top bar to switch, save, and restore named layouts.

Command palette

Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to open the command palette. Jump to any panel, change symbol, or trigger actions from the keyboard.
